Anders Dickson was born in 1988, in Wisconsin, the United States, and is currently based in New York. He studied philosophy at the University of Minnesota (2007- 2009) and attended the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg im Breisgau in 2010. He later completed his studies at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe (2010–2014) and the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main (2014–2017). From 2017 to 2019 he was an artist in residence at De Ateliers in Amsterdam.
