KAYOKOYUKI is pleased to announce the group show "In their shoes", an exhibition to celebrate the gallery's 10th anniversary. The exhibition consists of the work of 12 artists, divided into two sections (21 August - 19 September and 2 October - 7 November).
The pandemic of infectious diseases has limited the opportunities for us to meet face to face, making it difficult for us to do the things we used to do as a matter of course: talking and updating each other on what's going on, listening to each other's thoughts. Because we know so little about others' situations, it is not easy for us to imagine or to worry.
We are again reminded of the importance of thinking about the scenes that someone else might be seeing, and the environment in which they may be in, to live in a healthy and comfortable way, and to avoid unnecessary fears.
This exhibition features the artworks of 12 artists with very different backgrounds, practices, and techniques. Their work can remind us of someone we cannot meet face to face, or take us to a place we cannot go.
